Snowpiercer in 100 Words

Stuck at the end of a train forever circling the globe after an environmental catastrophe, the lower class revolts in an attempt to even the balance in this grim but brilliant offering.
It’s a mental idea and possibly the only film in the ‘post-apocalyptic train’ niche, but arresting imagery and an impressive cast have you concentrating more on the characters and their struggles with power and poverty than plot holes. Evans and Swinton stand out amongst a sharp international cast.  It’s not subtle; full of violence, horrifying admissions and twists. But if you can see it it’s well worth it.
