This is not an amazing film that will live long in the memory. But that would be missing the point. Penguins of Madagascar did the only sensible thing it could, and that was to say “screw it”.
Complicated story? Nope.
Complex motivations? Nada.
What we get is a series of irreverent scenes that make the most of the Penguin’s brand of ‘so crazy it might just work’ heroics.
It looks nice, and I giggled and tittered my way through it. What more could you ask from a ‘kids film’? Make sure to listen out for the actor name puns too.
