Paddington in 100 Words

Neither a hard stare nor my emergency sandwiches were needed to get through this delightful version of the classic children’s story.

From the old recording detailing the discovery of talking bears to the final confrontation, Paddington is a heartfelt and funny film that will appeal to all ages. Whishsaw is perfectly cast as the titular trouble maker, his voice conveying not only the innocence and mischievousness of Paddington, but also his sense of longing. Bonneville is great as Mr. Brown, one scene in particular raising plenty of laughs. This is one film that shouldn’t be left waiting at the station.
