Pleasing tension is backed up by Neeson’s chemistry with Julianne Moore, but a crazy bout of escalation in the final act spoils the story. The same point could have been made in a more thought provoking fashion. Neeson continues his older action man success, and texting is shown neatly, but the rest of Non-Stop doesn’t match up, preventing it from hitting the heights of Taken.
Bill Marks is not a great guy. A drunk, depressing man; is he in any way redeemable? When the flight he is marshalling encounters some unexpected turbulence, can he get those on-board to trust him?
