Morning Glory in 100 Words

I’ve got a soft spot for films like this. Harmless little stories that are enjoyable to watch once but will hardly leave a lasting memory.

However, all the positives with Morning Glory rest with the cast and what they manage to do with a script that is derivative and obvious.

Ford isn’t stretching himself, all taciturn and grumpy but it works well. Keaton is a great partner for him as they trade verbal blows on air whilst McAdams holds her own well. As her first ‘star vehicle’ she does a good job.

Perfect for an easy night in I’d say.
