The first Kung Fu Panda was an entertaining romp with a great cast, nicely led by the love him/loathe him Jack Black. it just so happens I love him, so I was onto a winner straight away.
Somewhat unsurprisingly the sequel provides more of the same, with the series continuing to be as entertaining as it’s protagonist is surprisingly nimble. Gary Oldman’s Shen provides a very different threat to Tai Lung whilst also being funny in his own way. A peacock with layers.
There are plenty of laughs along with some well-judged darkness. Exactly what’s needed for a family film.
